The voluntary blood donation campaign for 2024 has ended

Humanity as part of the company’s identity: Voluntary blood donation campaign for 2024 completed

The company MaxBet, known for its dynamic motto “Life is a game”, shows once again that games are only a part of life, while humanity is its essence. The first voluntary blood donation campaign was held on June 16, 2017, at the company’s headquarters in Novi Sad, and since then it has become a permanent initiative that, as of this year, covers all regions where the company operates.

In cooperation with the Institute for Blood Transfusion and the Red Cross, MaxBet has so far organized 65 voluntary blood donation campaigns, collecting 4,800 units these precious fluids. This means that the company directly contributed to saving around 14,400 lives. These figures illustrate the power of collective engagement and confirm how small actions can make a big difference. The Institute for Blood Transfusion of Serbia, Vojvodina, Kruševac and Niš, the Institute for Blood Transfusion of Serbia, as well as local Red Cross organizations became long-term partners in the campaign.

Goran Samolovac, coordinator of voluntary blood donation actions at MaxBet, commented on the importance of this initiative: “Our first action was organized with a great desire to do something important for the community. The results illustrate how important this initiative is. If the number of 14,400 does not tell you much, think of it this way: it is slightly more than the entire number of participants of the Olympic Games in Paris, and slightly less than the full Belgrade Arena. Our motto “Life is a game” reflects the energy and dynamism of our industry, but through voluntary blood donation campaigns, that motto takes on a deeper dimension. It becomes a reminder that games are only a part of life, while blood is its essence”.

In addition to Serbia, this initiative is now organized in other countries where MaxBet operates, which additionally contributes to the global goal of Flutter International, of which MaxBet is a part. This goal, defined through the “Do More” (“Do More”) strategy, involves improving the quality of life for 10 million people by 2030.

Savo Bakmaz, general manager of MaxBet, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “At MaxBet, we believe that humanity is the basis of all success. The “Do More” strategy allows us to increase our impact on the communities in which we operate. The “Life is Blood” campaign is an example of how corporate responsibility and local engagement can contribute to global goals.”

The story of voluntary blood donation at MaxBet is not just corporate statistics. It’s a reminder of what we can all become when we put humanity first. The “Life is Blood” campaign has become a symbol of connection and joint action, spreading the idea that each of us can make a difference.
