The Czech Republic is expecting a cold week, it will freeze at night and during the day temperatures will most often reach five degrees Celsius. This follows from the weekly weather forecast of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ). Meteorologists do not expect precipitation, they warn of drizzle and frequent fog, even freezing. According to the monthly outlook published today, the below-average temperature weather will continue into next week.
Overall, this week will be cooler than last week. According to meteorologists, the weather will not typically be inverted, but low clouds and fog will still be very frequent. “Some days they will definitely last locally and the temperatures will be quite low. They will not reach even with sunshine, which will be very little, over ten degrees Celsius. In fogs and low cloud cover, we will usually measure up to five degrees,” the CHMÚ stated on its Facebook.
The overall chance of precipitation in the coming week is very low, according to meteorologists. Very localized industrial snowfall and drizzle may occur, they said. “Weaker rain may appear only on Monday evening in the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary regions,” they added.
Industrial snowfall can occur in the vicinity of industrial operations under the conditions that exist these days. That is, dense low clouds or fog and relatively low temperatures in the upper atmosphere. “Then all that is needed is a sufficient source of moisture, for example in the form of a chimney, and that’s it,” said the ČHMÚ. People could watch this phenomenon on Sunday in Šumperk.
Like this week, next week will be colder than usual for this part of the year. Temperatures should return to at least average values in the last week of November and the first week of December, meteorologists said in their monthly outlook. According to them, for the coming four weeks, night temperatures will most often drop to minus two degrees, during the day they will rise to plus two to plus five degrees Celsius.
Meteorologists do not expect more precipitation this week or next week. There will be more hope for rain or snow until the end of November.
