A heatwave is coming at the start of this week. The IPMA predicts that maximum temperatures will exceed 40 degrees in Évora, Beja, Santarém, Braga and Castelo Branco.
On Monday, four districts will be under an orange warning due to the hot weather. On Tuesday, the number rises to 11 – only Viana do Castelo, Porto, Braga, Aveiro, Leiria, Lisbon and Faro will be under a yellow warning.
The minimum temperature will increase on Tuesday. In the Algarve, it will be 22 degrees.
According to IPMA calculations, the fire danger will remain high in some districts during this week.
