The world’s largest electric aircraft, Heart X1, from a Swedish startup, will make its first flight in 2025

Swedish company Heart Aerospace has announced that its electric aircraft Heart X1 will make its first flight in the second quarter of 2025. It is currently the world’s largest electric aircraft.

The Heart X1 is an experimental commercial aircraft designed to carry up to 30 passengers. It is the same size as the ES-30, a production electric aircraft that Heart Aerospace plans to launch in 2028.

The wingspan of the Heart X1 is 32 meters. The aircraft is currently undergoing ground tests, which include testing its charging, maneuvering and control systems.

Heart Aerospace said the ES-30 will be designed for short intercity flights. On one charge it will be able to cover a distance of up to 200 km, and with the use of a hybrid engine, the flight range will increase to 400 km. How far the Heart X1 prototype will fly is not specified.

Heart Aerospace was founded in 2019. It has since raised $145 million to develop an electric plane. (News Atlas)
