Xiaomi showed it all today, like its first foldable phone, the Mix Flip – and it’s a commendable first effort!
Starting with the screen on the outside, which is 4.01 inches and matches the size of the Motorola Razr+ 2024, we learn how it will offer 16:9 aspect ratio to run full apps or place widgets. Xiaomi calls it the All Around Liquid external display.
The battery that goes up is also huge at 4,780 mAh and almost with the fastest charging at 67W HyperCharge regarding this class of devices.
Opening the Mix Flip reveals another large screen, a 6.86-inch 120Hz OLED panel with 3,000 nits of maximum brightness.
Xiaomi Mix Flip is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and has a 3500 mm² steam chamber for cooling.
There are two 50MP cameras built into the display on the outside. The main one is a 50MP f/1.7 unit with 1.0µm binned pixels and 13.5 stops of dynamic range. The other camera is a 50MP f/2.0 with a focal length of 46mm – or 2x zoom. It has a floating lens, which means it can focus up to 9cm.
Using the mechanical hinge, you can use the cameras on the Xiaomi Mix Flip at any angle between 45° and 135°.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip is available in black, white, purple and a special Nylon version. Mix Flip can be made available in 16GB/1TB, 12/512GB and 12/256GB, starting from 5.999 CNY (760€/640£/820$/69.000 INR).
