The ZR expert found an analogue of Tiggo 8 in Russia. It is 1 million rubles cheaper

“Behind the Wheel” expert Sergei Zinoviev reviewed the Soueast DX8S crossover, calling it very cheap and offering Chery Tiggo 8 as an alternative. The difference between the models in price is plus or minus 1 million rubles: for the top-end DX8S they are asking 2.4-2.8 million rubles, says the specialist. While the cost of Jetour X70 Plus in the database starts from 2.5 million rubles, and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max will cost 3.3 million rubles.

However, there is a nuance: Soueast DX8S is not included in the official catalog of models available for purchase in the Russian Federation. It includes the more modern crossovers S09, S07 and S06.

The interior of the Soueast DX8S, according to Zinoviev, cannot be called cheap or unsightly despite the budget level of the model. The equipment is beyond praise. The engine is a 1.5-liter Chery SQRE4T15B, which is familiar from both the G8 and the donor Jetour X70S. For the DX8S, due to its location in the hierarchy of Chery brands, only 156 hp are declared.

“The engine has a rare combination of a cast-iron block, distributed injection and turbocharging. According to reviews, this is a very reliable and durable unit that theoretically accepts AI-92 gasoline,” says Zinoviev, noting that the 6-speed “robot” with two clutches does not cause reliability issues.
