There are more and more electric company cars at home

For the majority of fleet managers (63%), the biggest challenge of the past year was the higher monthly fee for new cars, it was revealed Ayvens fleet manager and mobility service provider. The market has shrunk over the past year, and all players are currently striving to optimize costs and rationally reorganize their staff.

However, the rise of operational leasing is unchanged, in fact: the outsourcing of fleet management is practically a megatrend, as companies can thereby be freed from the financial risk of operation, servicing and residual values, and can use their cars for fixed monthly fees.

When asked what kind of fleet market solution they plan to implement in the next 1-3 years in view of the current market situation, more than half of the fleet managers and company managers indicated the transition to a partially electric fleet as their answer. 16 percent of them would introduce car-sharing services, 8 percent of them are considering the use of micro-mobility devices, while 40 percent of the respondents would think about all of them, creating a comprehensive mobility package.

Ayvens is experiencing an increase in the demand for electric cars among its own clientele, which is largely due to the fact that the parent companies of the domestic representative offices have also voted in favor of them. But they see sustainability not only in electric cars, a lot depends on the company car policy and how the cars are used.

According to nearly three-quarters (72%) of fleet managers and company managers, the status and position of their company determine the category of the car, and less than one-fifth (19%) see that the category of the car is primarily adapted to personal use needs. The number of company respondents who think that the size and equipment of their company’s cars is dictated solely by business needs is negligible (8%). Despite this, the majority of fleet managers and company managers, as well as drivers, consider the current system of car allocation to be fair and reasonable.

The majority of company managers and fleet managers (58%) prefer or completely agree that the car is a kind of status symbol, and they also check what kind of car their partner arrives with. The drivers agree with this even more: in this group, nearly 70 percent of the respondents prefer or completely agree with this statement. Based on the answers, it can be seen that both fleet managers and company managers, as well as a significant number of drivers (47-48%), feel that they are more recognized by their business partners if they drive a higher category car.
