In the final document, the sexual abuse crisis is addressed, which “has brought unspeakable suffering” and calls for young people to listen: “A society that does not know how to welcome and care for children is a sick society”

More than three weeks have passed since the end of the Synod and the consequent publication of the final document that summarizes the work of the last three years around synodality (the theme of the main meeting). The final session of the Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod ended on October 27, but only now has the document in Portuguese, translated from the original text written in Italian, been made available.
