According to the newspaper, in the so-called Sohollar bends, a vehicle with a trailer with Hungarian license plates heading towards Keszthely from Bak collided with a Volkswagen LT type pickup truck, also with Hungarian license plates, coming from the scene under circumstances that are still unclear. The driver of the latter – a middle-aged man living in a settlement in Zala county – suffered life-threatening injuries during the accident, so he died on the spot.

Firefighters removed his body from the passenger compartment of his vehicle.
