There was a remarkable fall in the American stock markets after the IT chaos

At Friday’s close, the three leading US stock indexes were down 0.7-0.9%, the sub-index of the technology sector within the S&P ended the day with a 1.3% drop due to the IT chaos. The weekly performance of the sub-index showed a drop of over 5%.

CrowdStrike, responsible for Friday’s global IT chaos, ended the day down 11%.

The S&P itself fell 2% this week, making it the leading index’s worst week since April. The tech-heavy Nasdaq was down 3.7% for the week, while the Dow Jones weekly gain was 0.7%.
