An earthquake of magnitude 3.5, at a depth of 114.3 kilometers, occurred on Friday morning, December 27, in the Vrancea seismic zone, Buzau, announced the National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics.
The earthquake occurred at 03:47 (Romanian local time) near the following cities: 51km NW of Buzău, 60km W of Focșani, 64km SE of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 67km E of Brașov, 72km NE of Ploiesti.
The biggest earthquake of 2024 in Romania was on September 16 and had a magnitude of 5.4. It took place in the seismic zone Vrancea-Buzău, at 17:40.
