There’s a big problem: an unknown IT error – – is causing mass shutdowns worldwide

The networks of airports, banks and various online media are also affected.

Several global institutions have recently reported that a significant IT outage occurred in their systems. The problem led to mass shutdowns worldwide: airports, banks and media were also affected – reported the BBC. Microsoft is already investigating the global, as yet unknown, IT error with great force.

The outages have caused serious problems around the world, but Australia has been particularly hard hit. Flights have ground to a halt, supermarkets are in chaos, broadcast networks have virtually ceased to exist. In addition, disruptions were also reported on the London stock exchange, and the state of Alaska in the United States issued a warning that emergency services were also affected.

The exact cause of the malfunction is not yet clear, but it is believed to be something with Microsoft’s Azure cloud service, which the company is already investigating with great force.

“We are investigating an issue that affects users’ ability to access various Microsoft 365 apps and services.”
