Thermaltake presented new driving simulator products at CES

A new G6 wheel-pedal set and a GM5 3DOF motion platform were seen from Thermaltake.

Taiwanese Thermaltake is present at the Las Vegas CES 2025 fair and presented there, among other novelties, new products for simulator enthusiasts, which are the G6 steering wheel with pedals and the GM5 3DOF platform for both driving and flight simulators.

The G6 is a 13-inch steering wheel with a solid aluminum base that uses direct drive technology and offers 6 Nm of torque. Pedals that can be adjusted in strength include clutch, brake and accelerator. The manufacturer praises the fan inside the steering wheel as particularly quiet. The G6 is said to be designed specifically for Thermaltake’s own GR500 driving simulator frame.

The new GM5 3DOF locomotion platform provides realistic bench rocking for both driving and flight simulators. The 27 kg platform is advertised as light but sturdy. It is promised a delay of less than 5 milliseconds to achieve realistic and fast motion feedback and a vibration function of up to 100 hertz to simulate different road types. The motion platform is said to fit Thermaltake’s GR500 driving simulator and GF500 flight simulator.

The new products will be available in early spring at prices of $520 (G6) and $4,000 (GM5 3DOF), but Thermaltake did not provide more detailed information about availability and pricing in Europe.
