Watching Formula 1: these are the cheapest options
On Saturday 2 March, the first Grand Prix of the Formula 1 season took place. We can once again enjoy drivers pulling out all the stops to score valuable points. We will find out whether Max Verstappen can retain his world championship.
Where, when and at what time the races of the coming season will take place, you can find in the overview at the bottom of this article. There are several options to follow Formula 1 this year. We list them for you below.
Viaplay: 17.99 euros per month
In the Netherlands, Viaplay has the rights to broadcast Formula 1. With a subscription to the streaming service, you won’t miss any of the races, but you can also follow qualifications and free practice sessions that precede them. In addition, there is a team of experts who discuss everything about the sport in the studio.
In addition to Formula 1, Viaplay offers many other sports, such as football and darts. For the necessary relaxation, there is a large selection of films, series and documentaries. Viaplay costs 17.99 euros per month. You get free access to Formula 1’s own streaming service, F1 TV Pro.
F1 TV Pro: from €11.90 per month
If you are only interested in Formula 1, then the best option for you is to subscribe to F1 TV Pro. Here everything about F1 is collected for you: you watch the free practice sessions, qualifications and races. During the races you switch to the camera angle you want to see or only get your favorite driver in the picture.
When the race is over, you can watch a Grand Prix from the past, check interviews or an interesting documentary. You take out a subscription for 11.90 euros per month. The first week you can see if it is something for you with a free trial subscription. So you experience the first race completely for free!
Watch Formula 1 via KPN, Ziggo or Odido
If you are a customer of KPN, VodafoneZiggo or Odido, you can also simply take out a subscription via your provider. This will give you a fixed channel on your TV for Viaplay and you will no longer have to fiddle with apps. In most cases, you will also benefit from many advantages!
At KPN, that is the most advantageous. As soon as you have a mobile subscription in addition to your internet and/or TV, you receive a monthly discount of 5 euros on entertainment. If you use that for Viaplay, then you only pay 12.99 euros per month.
If you are an Odido customer, you will receive a 50 percent discount on your Viaplay subscription for the first month. If you take out your subscription via Ziggo, you will benefit if you also have a Vodafone subscription. You will then receive a discount of up to 7.50 euros per month on your mobile subscription.
