Change the order of the Control Center
As you well know, until now we found a section called Control Center in the Settings menu of iOS and iPadOS. In it, we could arrange the buttons in the control center, but not those focused on volume, brightness and multimedia controls, among others. However, now the Control Center is fully customizable, being able to change not only the order in which they are displayed, but also their size.
For themWe just have to invoke the Control Center by sliding from top to bottom. Once we see the Control Center, we can long press on any space in it, and a new iconography will appear to let us know that we can arrange the icons. We simply have to follow exactly the same steps we take when we want to change the order of the icons on the Home Screen from our iPhone or iPad.
Resize and remove buttons
To do this, we must first follow the steps that we have indicated above, since this is how we can proceed to the Control Center modification screen which, as you can see, inherits many of the features of the traditional Home Screen customization of iOS and iPadOS, a great leap in terms of settings modification that we had not seen in iOS until now.
That which, When these settings are displayed, we see that we first find the “-” sign in the upper left corner of the Control Center buttons. This means that if we press it, we will be able to delete it. Similarly, if we want to add any button to the Control Center, we just have to press the “+” button located in the upper right corner of the screen.
That which, the bottom right corner will show a kind of thick angle, This means that we can modify the size of the button. To do this, we only need to select the side area of the button and move it to the right to make it larger or to the left to make the button or controller smaller.
The Control Center Gallery
As we have said, if we want to add any type of button to the Control Center, we simply have to invoke its customization screen, so that the “+” icon appears in the upper right corner, which will allow us to add more buttons or controllers. In this sense, when we press it, a gallery of options for the Control Center will open, which even has a search engine at the top, which will allow us to access any specific function much more quickly.
The different screens of the Control Center
Now Control Center is much more than just a collection of buttons. You will have the possibility to add a lot of screens, each one focused on a specific activity or functionality. It is something like what we have with the Home Screens, which as you well know, allows us to assign or create more than one.
In this sense, when we invoke the Control Center, We will be able to scroll through the different screens offered. To do this, we only have to slide up or down.
On the right side we will be shown a small summary about the functions that we have assigned to each of the screens of the Control Center, which will allow us to navigate between them more easily.
It is also worth noting that these screens are all customizable to the point of exhaustion, as is the case with the main Control Center. In fact, we will even be able to change the order in which these screens are displayed.
New shutdown function
Turning off your iPhone becomes a bit of a chore, let’s be completely and utterly honest, as you have to use a combination of physical buttons that is often a bit difficult to understand for less experienced iOS and iPadOS users.
But don’t worry, the shutdown menu has now arrived at the Control center on your iPad or iPhone. That is, when we invoke the Control Center, the icon will always appear in the upper right corner ON/OFF. We simply need to press this option and the iOS or iPadOS shutdown menu will appear. If we slide the button to the right, our device will turn off. We can cancel the action by clicking on the “X” that appears at the bottom center of the screen, and in the process the device’s RAM memory will be scanned.
Many more options on the Home Screen
As expected, the new buttons available for the Control Center have also arrived in the iPadOS and iOS Home Screen. In this sense, we only have to do a long press on the Home Screen to be able to edit it, as we have been telling you throughout the latest updates.
The Control Center options gallery will appear, allowing us to even perform a text search that will make it easier for us to find and select those quick access buttons that we need most, making it the most extensive customization experience that Apple has created to date.
