The award for the best technology in the world
The Best Tech Award 2025 is the first of the series and was established given that technology is now a decisive aspect in the automotive sector, no longer only in terms of safety, but also for passenger entertainment and vehicle connectivity in systems of current and future traffic.
According to the jurors of the Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year, BYD has made a huge step forward in electric mobility with its Blade battery lithium-ferrophosphate, “because they offer greater energy density, greater safety, reduced fire risk, longer life than traditional batteries and greater autonomy”.
The Chinese automaker was also recognized because it has also made progress in plug-in hybrid technology with the DM system (Dual Mode) and its two approaches: DM-i for efficiency and low fuel consumption and DM-p for high performance.
The Sandy Myhre Award
The Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year has also decided to include among its awards the one for the automotive brand most sensitive to the female world. “The Sandy Myhre Award – which owes its name to the founder of WWCOTY – will highlight manufacturers’ commitment to women in the areas of workplace inclusion, product design and advertising campaigns, among others,” the statement reads.
