Do you have a recent Samsung smartwatch? Then you can soon update it to One UI 6 Watch, a major update that adds new features.
One UI 6 Watch update for Samsung watches
With the release of the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, Samsung also immediately introduced One UI 6 Watch. This is the latest version of Samsung’s watch software, which adds a variety of features. We now have good news for users of an older Galaxy Watch, because the update will appear for many more watches.
Do you have a Galaxy Watch 4 or newer? Then you can soon update your smartwatch to the latest version of One UI Watch. The rollout will now start worldwide, with the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic coming first. This is followed by older watches. Here they are at a glance:
The update is being released gradually, so it may take a while before you can update your Galaxy Watch. You will automatically be notified when the upgrade is available.
You can also check for updates yourself: open the settings on your Watch, swipe down until you see ‘Software update’ and press ‘Download and install’. You can also use the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone. Go to ‘Watch settings’ > ‘Update watch software’ > ‘Install download’, after which you will immediately see whether the upgrade is available.

New in One UI 6 Watch
One UI 6 Watch introduces a number of useful innovations, such as the energy score. Your Galaxy Watch looks at your sleep, daily activity and heart rate to give a score every morning. You also get new watch faces (see the image below), one of which shows a lot of extra information.
