Xiaomi has already revealed the plan to update its devices to the new system HyperOS 2which brings a lot of improvements and news. However, not all smartphones will receive the latest version of the Android 15 operating system, due to hardware limitations. However, the manufacturer still wants to bring new functions of the HyperOS 2 superstructure to users, at least in a lightweight form.
According to available information some devices will be updated to HyperOS 2, but will remain on Android 14. For these models, this will be the last major update, after which they will not receive further system updates. Maximum security patches.
Devices getting HyperOS 2 with Android 14:
- Xiaomi Mi 11 (Mi 11i, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 Lite NE)
- Redmi Note 12 (Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro 5G a Note 12 Pro+ 5G)
- Redmi 12
- BIT (C5, M5, M5s, X5, X5 5G, F4 a F4 GT)
- Xiaomi Pad 6 (there is a possibility of a future update to Android 15)
For users of these devices, this means that even if they get the benefits of HyperOS 2, they will not have access to the functionalities and improvements brought by Android 15. On the other hand, newer models such as Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 13 Pro or Redmi 13 will be updated directly to HyperOS 2 with Android 15, giving them full access to the latest features and optimizations.
