“Catapult” is the prosecutor’s proposal for Georgia Bika, who on New Year’s Day 2022 had reported rape in a well-known hotel in Thessaloniki. After the irrevocable decision of the Justice that there was no rape, he is now at risk of being tried together with three other people for serious crimes against a well-known meter.
It all started with the lawsuit filed by the meter against Georgia Bika, a well-known businessman and two other men. In it he stated that he was beaten, kidnapped, threatened and blackmailed, while they also grabbed his mobile phone and posted on his own profile that he allegedly convinced Georgia Bika to go to the hotel on New Year’s Eve.
Among what the meter described in the lawsuit, according to STAR, are threats with a pistol, that he will be found dead, etc.
In addition, the prosecutor’s proposal to the Competent Judicial Council, which proposes that Georgia Bika and the three other men sit on the accused’s bench of the Three-Member Court of Appeal, is harsh. Felonies. For the accused, in fact, it states, among other things: “The third defendant (Georgia Bika), with intention, provided direct assistance to the perpetrators during and in the execution of the main wrongful act of common robbery.”
It now remains to issue the resolution of the Council of Misdemeanors.
“I have not received any subpoena or notification from the police department”
Georgia Bika made a statement after the news that she is being referred to trial along with three other people, citing an unacceptable leak of personal information, stressing that she has not received any summons from the competent authorities.
As he states, “It is unacceptable that such sensitive and serious information is leaked to the media before I myself have received official notification from the relevant authorities.”
At the same time, it expresses its concern “about the violation of the laws and rules governing the protection of personal data and the justice process”.
The entire post
“In light of the recent media reports of alleged charges against me, I wish to express my deep concern about the violation of laws and regulations governing the protection of personal data and the administration of justice.
It is unacceptable that such sensitive and serious information is leaked to the media before I myself have received official notification from the relevant authorities. I must point out that I have not received any subpoenas or notices from the police department.
So I point out that I do not know if these publications are true or if it is a race for click hunting.
In particular, I am wondering who is the prosecutor who got away with releasing this information, jeopardizing the integrity of the process? How is it possible to violate the processes of justice in such a way? This leak raises serious questions about the integrity of institutions and the protection of citizens’ rights.
I am committed to defending my rights and exploring the legal options available to me to address this injustice. Transparency and fairness must remain fundamental values in any democratic society.
Thank you for your attention.”
