Relatives, friends, associates of the former mayor, businessman and oenologist, Yiannis Boutaris, who passed away last Saturday at the age of 82, are saying their “last goodbye” from 11 am in the atrium of the town hall of Thessaloniki.
Crowds of people from different places say goodbye to the man who for nine years was in the chair of the mayor of Thessaloniki, who dared to do business, who created “Arkturos”, who offered finances to the basketball team of Aris, who sent a message of hope to those who were facing alcoholism problems. “You lived, you offered, we are deeply grateful,” they write in the condolence book.
There are many who came from all over the country and abroad for the last journey of Yannis Boutaris and express their heartfelt condolences and their love for him.
