All signs indicate that Audi is listening to customer feedback: the Ingolstadt-based manufacturer will no longer use fake exhausts for models with gasoline, diesel and hybrid drives.
In recent years, it has almost become a trend that manufacturers often do not install real exhaust tips on the back of their cars, but decorative elements that look like them, only following the lines of the bumper. This is mainly for safety reasons, as the designers were able to solve this way so that the hot exhaust pipes are not too close to the plastic casings, of course, the financial and aesthetic side of the solution cannot be neglected either.
The news is Auto Express to his inquiry, the Audi spokesperson confirmed after the presentation of the A5 and S5, which replaced the A4, in the past few days. The old-new, “hot” exhaust pipes are already returning for the A5, but the soon-to-be-released models (Q5, A7, Q7) as well as the next generation of the A8, presumably called the A9, will also be affected by the change.
