They ask for 10 million for the “rolling sun tent”

The idea, in fact, the specific form is more than 70 years old, but the implementation is 100 percent modern for this tiny electric car.

In 1953, the Iso Isetta, a car equipped with a door that opens on the front wall, was introduced, which the majority of people know better as the BMW Isetta, since the Bavarian manufacturer marketed the model under its own name from ’55.

Although highway and even city traffic developed in a direction different from that of the Isetta for a few decades, by the second to third decades of the 21st century, the electric version of the tiny model may once again have a right to exist.

We have heard of several attempts to resurrect it over time, but the most serious seems to be the Swiss Microlino, which made a comeback after the latest news in 2022, practically announcing its market launch.

The versions offered for purchase were already shown at the Paris Motor Show, the 2.5-meter-long, 147-cm-wide, two-seater microcar (officially a scooter)

which can go up to 90 km/h and has a range of 95-230 kilometers depending on the battery of your choice. With its 12.5 kW (17 HP) electric motor fed by its 10.5 kWh battery, it is capable of a top speed of 90 km/h, and with more careful treading, a maximum range of 177 km can be squeezed out of the Spiaggina.

The micro-vehicle with a 230-liter cargo space is primarily intended to be sold as a summer vacation machine, and accordingly it has a hardwood floor reminiscent of the deck covering of motorboats and yachts, as well as a striped retractable canvas roof that covers the parasols.

Even with the price of the Microlino Spiaggina First Edition, it really appeals to the more affluent class that can afford a vacation, the hot but not very practical little thing starts at 24,990 euros (10 million HUF). The first copies will be delivered to their new owners before the season, in the spring of 2025.
