The biggest iPhone ever?
Aru Maini, popularly known as Mrwhosetheboss On YouTube, he has teamed up with another YouTuber to create the largest iPhone in historyTogether they have designed and manufactured a fully functional, nearly 90-inch iPhone. Specifically, it is an 88-inch iPhone and it even has a huge USB-C charging cable.
This project of stratospheric dimensions has taken them a year and they have spent more than 60,000 euros in creating this giant iPhone.
The 88-inch iPhone you’re about to see weighs 199 kg and it works like any other iPhone model, just with much larger than normal hardware components.
This is the biggest iPhone ever
These YouTubers’ 88-inch iPhone packs a massive punch LG OLED TV screen with 8K resolution and a touch screen layer above it incorporated with a process that emulates the manufacturing of touch screens in smartphones.
While Apple designs its own hardware components like the new A18 and A18 Pro chips in the iPhone 16 models, it built this giant iPhone using what Apple would never do: Android hardware and software.
They have used an Android product called BlissOS which can be installed on PC hardware and offers full support for touch screens.
Additionally, they also used a massive chassis strong enough to support the weight of LG’s 88-inch OLED panel and a buttons made of aluminum.
In the following video you can see the manufacturing process of this 88-inch “iPhone” and how it works. It has its own applications, games and even widgets on the home screen.
This giant iPhone brings together a series of components carefully selected to work together perfectly. The device even features a very expensive Canon R5 45 megapixel camera worth 3,799 euros.
It also integrates a custom speaker system with two 50-watt amplifiers per channel and a huge 400-watt LED for the flash. It even has a huge USB-C cable that connects with a magnetic system!
It must be a real blast to watch the best Apple TV series on this huge iPhone. Of course, you already have a TV for that… What do you think about this colossal feat of engineering?
