An average of 30 cars were stolen per capita by members of the American crime syndicate who broke into a dozen dealerships in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania between February and July 2023. The foursome from Rhode Island – consisting of a 24, a 27, a 28, and a 32-year-old man – thereby acquired 120 luxury cars, the total value of which is approximately 5 million dollars, i.e. more than HUF 1.8 billion.


The authorities announcement According to the report, the gang targeted high-end cars, but when it came to brands, they were not picky at all: Bentley, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes, Porsche and Rolls-Royce were among the stolen vehicles. According to the suspicion, they did not leave empty-handed from a motorcycle dealership in Pennsylvania, where 19 premium Husqvarna motorcycles disappeared, while several dirt bikes were stolen from a dealership in Phillipston.

They also analyzed the communication between the members of the group, based on which the police claim that one of the men had the task of brokering the sale of stolen vehicles – a security camera in the driveway of a house recorded him covering a Jeep with one of his companions, which he had stolen one day it was stolen before.

A stolen Range Rover was already found in a container bound for Africa – together with this, the uniformed officers found 41 vehicles and 11 dirt bikes. One member of the criminal gang is already in prison, and two other men are in custody, but the fourth offender has been released for the time being.
