DB Police arrested a member of cell phone thief gang in Karnaphuli, Chittagong. At this time, 38 stolen mobile phones were recovered from him.
He was arrested on Monday (January 6) around 9:00 PM in Shikolbaha Jamalpara and Brijghat areas of the upazila.
Chittagong Detective Metropolitan (North-South) has informed this information in a press release.
The arrested accused. Imam Hussain Atiq (26). Charpatharghata (Ward No. 2) Ramzan Ali is the son of Noor Hussain of Siddique Ahmed’s house in Shah Mazar area.
It is known that on the basis of secret information, Imam Hussain was arrested in Jamalpara and Brijghat areas. A case has been filed against him at Karnaphuli police station.
According to the preliminary investigation, the arrested persons are involved in the mobile phone theft ring in different areas of Chittagong. The members of this gang have been selling stolen mobile phones in the surrounding area for a long time.
Karnaphuli Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Sharif said, DB Police has arrested a member of the mobile thief gang. The case is under process in this incident.
