Thieves stole a rare classic from Nissan’s collection

The R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R is one of the most legendary sports cars of all time, and besides being on the road, it’s also made a name for itself thanks to video games like Gran Turismo and Forza. Today, the prices of collector’s items reach more than 100,000 euros in Europe and the car is one of the most sought-after sports classics around the world. Unfortunately, this also makes it a target for criminals.

At Nissan, they were recently shocked when they discovered that an R32 from the automaker’s historic collection had been stolen from the company’s headquarters in Australia. A spokesperson for Nissan in Australia confirmed for News.com.au that a rare sports car was stolen from the company’s headquarters in Melbourne. “Unfortunately, our original R32 GT-R was stolen and is now the subject of a police investigation,” said a spokesperson.
