This 18-year-old boy is the terror of illegal parking

An 18-year-old young man in Germany attracted attention with his unusual hobby: Niclas Matthei – who calls himself the master of announcements – spends his free time riding his bike from his hometown of Gräfenhainichen and taking a photo of every illegally parked car and sending it to the to local authorities.

According to his own admission, he reported more than 4,000 illegal parking cases throughout the country last year, thanks to which the authorities were able to collect 140,995 euros in the form of fines – this sum corresponds to approximately HUF 56.5 million according to the current exchange rate. Most of them in the state of Saxony-Anhalt fell victim to a teenager who blew Germany’s parking rules from the outside, who only expanded his hunt against illegally parked cars to the entire territory of the country after he caused a bigger reaction.

Matthei revealed that there have been several cases where he was forcibly “honored” for what he does, even though he only wants to ensure that everyone follows the rules and that those who don’t do so should pay for it. “I just want to enforce the traffic rules because people think they can park however they want” said the The mirror nek in his interview.

Overall, the activities of the 18-year-old German boy received a mixed reception: while many people are happy about his action, the mayor of the settlement is not among them, saying that the flood of reports is hindering the work of the local authorities. His mother doesn’t support him either – according to her, many people hurt her child at school, so reporting illegal parking satisfies a kind of revenge in her.
