Samsung is in discussions with OpenAI for a collaboration around ChatGPT. While the AI chatbot currently supports Apple Intelligence, it could do the same for Galaxy AI.
Financial analyst Dan Nystedt let us know at that OpenAI and Samsung are discussing a possible collaboration. The outcome could be that Galaxy AI, the AI for Samsung phones, will soon be assisted by ChatGPT.
If that collaboration actually comes to fruition, it will be a striking development. Samsung is currently working with Google for the Gemini model, which is part of Galaxy AI.
OpenAI can deliver the next blow to Google
Google will be anything but happy with OpenAI. The American company led by Sam Altman is getting in the way of the superpower. While ChatGPT already stole some search traffic from Google, it recently also unveiled ChatGPT Search. One of the biggest threats to the search engine in years, which remains one of the most important parts of Google.
OpenAI is also the party with which Apple has joined forces to support Apple Intelligence and now Samsung, which already uses Google’s AI, also seems to be interested.
Last week it also became clear that the US Department of Justice wants Google to sell the Chrome browser. We will tell you all about that in this article.
