San Diego Comic Con was an opportunity for fans of comic book adaptations to learn a lot of information about upcoming productions. Thus, Marvel made a splash last night by announcing the big return of Robert Downey Jr. in Avengers : Doomsday and revealing the official title of the highly anticipated film The Fantastic Four featuring Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby. For its part, DC Comics has posted the latest trailer for the series The Penguinrevealing the release date of the HBO series set in the universe of The Batmanas well as the identity of the series’ main antagonist.
On the fringes of this great mass of Pop Culture, Director Peter Sollett – who is responsible for directing several episodes of season 2 of Peacemaker – may have said too much in an Instagram post.
Celebrating the end of its first week of filming, The filmmaker warmly thanked the entire cast. “Just finished my first week of filming Peacemaker. This message, which at first glance seems harmless, is in fact rich in information. By naming Joel Kinnaman in the cast, Peter Sollett has just leaked some crucial information: the return of Rick Flag Jr. First appeared in Suicide Squad (2016) by David Ayer, the character led the team of The Suicide Squad (2021) by James Gunn, before dying at the end of a duel against Peacemaker. So the return of Rick Flag Jr. has fans wondering. Was he resurrected or did he survive his fight with Christopher Smith?
In any case, Peter Sollett seems to have realized his blunder: he has since edited his Instagram post and removed Joel Kinnaman’s name. So we can probably expect two Rick Flags in season 2 of Peacemakersince Rick Flag Sr. will also be present, played by Frank Grillo.
