This electric bicycle has a range of 350 kilometers

Manufacturer Engwe has announced an electric cargo bike with a remarkably large range. This is possible thanks to two powerful batteries.

The new cargo e-bike from Engwe, the LE20can provide pedal assistance for up to 350 kilometers. The company says it tested this with a person weighing 75 kilograms on flat terrain. The claim applies to the version of the electric cargo bike with two batteries. The new e-bike is said to have the ‘largest range on the market’.

The Engwe LE20 has a mid-engine with 100 Nm torque in the European version. The e-bike has Shimano 7-speed gears, an aluminum frame, a suspension fork and hydraulic disc brakes.

Transport up to 200 kg

The LE20 can be equipped with two 922 Wh batteries, which make that enormous range possible in the most economical pedal assistance mode. With the optional fast charger, such a battery is full again after 2 to 3 hours. The basic model of the e-bike only has one battery.

The electric bike has a rack and footboards on the back, with room for two children. If desired, two child seats can also be mounted, as well as a front carrier. The LE20 weighs 36.8 kilograms and can transport a maximum of 200 kg including the rider.

Accessories

The e-bike is equipped with 3 inch thick tires and a brake rear light with indicator. There is a small color screen on the handlebars. Engwe also sells a range of accessories, such as luggage racks, padded seats and panniers.

The EU version of the Engwe LE20 can be ordered from October 8, starting at 1699 euros.
