This electric car is one of the most ecological in the world!

This car has an incredible consumption of 1.4 l/100 km, but there is one unexpected detail: it is electric.

For a thermal car, it is unthinkable that a vehicle could consume 1,4 l/100 km on average. On the other hand, it is entirely possible for an electric car as demonstrated by the Lucid Air.

Unmatched performance in production electric cars

Thanks to a energetic efficiency Unmatched among production cars, the Lucid Air manufacturer announces a consumption equivalent to 1.4 liters per 100 kilometers. This is the result of a cutting-edge electrical technology which reduces the number of kWh consumed per kilometer traveled.

Today, the Lucid Air is considered the flagship model from the young American brand Lucid MotorsThe objective of this new manufacturer is clearly to compete Tesla and Elon Musk on the electric vehicle front. The Lucid Air is a grande berline premium which is almost 5 meters long. It has been produced in factories since 2021 and regularly benefits from improvements. The latest one makes the Lucid Air the car the most efficient never built.

In its basic version named Purethe Lucid Air is equipped with a new 84 kWh battery. It is currently priced from $69,900, or approximately 64 200 €. This same configuration offers an autonomy of 676 kilometerswhich is notable for an electric vehicle.

A positive environmental impact and impressive autonomy

Now, other versions of the Lucid Air are able to achieve better autonomy thanks to larger batteries. In addition, their energy consumption is more than outstanding and it’s a huge one point positif for this model.

According to Lucid Motors, the Lucid Air Pure is capable of traveling 8 kilometers consuming 1 kWh of electrical energy. Its average consumption is therefore 12.5 kWh per 100 kilometers. And according to a formula often used to convert kWh to liters of gasoline, we calculate that 1 kWh represents 0.11 liters of gasoline. By respecting this formula, the average consumption of the Lucid Air would therefore be: 1.4 liters per 100 kilometers if it used a gasoline thermal engine.

The energy efficiency of this vehicle is quite remarkable and it is due to several factors. We can notably cite the design aerodynamic of the car, the efficiency of its engine electric and then the wonderful energy management of the batteryThese conditions combined make the Lucid Air one of the most energy-efficient electric cars in its category.
