This Former Cult Actor Would Make a Perfect Deadpool According to Ryan Reynolds

And it was during a recent interview with Turner Classic Movies (via Entertainment Weekly) that Reynolds was asked about who he thought would have made a good Deadpool. He then quoted the famous Cary Granta renowned actor in the 1940s and 1950s known among other things for appearing in several films by the famous director Alfred Hitchcock. Reynolds then said:

I’m not comparing myself to him in any way. But I think Cary Grant had a bit of a sharp tongue. And I think Howard Hawks could pull it off, because the fast-paced dialogue that he was so good at putting on screen would suit him perfectly.

Reynolds also cites Howard Hawks in addition, the famous director of the film Scarface from 1932, and with whom Grant had collaborated on numerous occasions, such as in The Impossible Mr. Baby (1938), Only angels have wings (1939) or again The Friday Lady (1940). Reynolds then jokingly adds:

I really claim to be the next Cary Grant, especially back when he was retired.
