This has been my favorite Apple event of the year

Apple has held 3 events in 2024 and this has been my favorite of all of them

It has been a year full of news in the Apple world and, most of them, we have seen them presented at a special company event. This year 2024 we have had 3 Apple events, and I am very clear about what my favorite Apple event of the year has been.. Almost every year it is the same.

Apple held an event in May 2024 where the new iPad Pro with the M4 chip, the iPad Air (M2) in two screen sizes and the Apple Pencil Pro were presented. A great event to start the year.

A WWDC24 will be held in mid-2024Apple’s global developer conference where new operating systems are introduced. Specifically, this year we saw iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11 or macOS Sequoia. With the addition of Apple Intelligence.

And finally, we had the Apple’s most media event: the iPhone 16 keynote. At its September event, Apple presented its big news of the year: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, the Apple Watch Series 10 and the AirPods 4.

And my favorite Apple event of the year is…

The WWDC24. The 2024 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference has been my favorite event of the year, hands down. And I have several reasons to think this way:

• The event with the most news. WWDC24 has been the event in which Apple has presented the most news. Even if no new device is released, the software can completely change the way we use the millions of devices already on the market.
• Apple Intelligence. I have been able to test Apple Intelligence on the iPhone and, although there is still a lot to improve, I think it is a leap forward that will help us a lot in certain tasks. But the best thing about Apple Intelligence is not the present, it is the future and all the things that are yet to come.
• The Apple example. Apple demonstrated one more year that there is no one who can match it in terms of support. The new operating systems released in 2024 are compatible with the same device models as the previous system, so no device was left behind this year. And that is something that must be valued, Apple continues to offer support for devices that are many years old.

The iPadizate community chose their favorite Apple device and, curiously, it was not presented at the event that I consider to be the best of the year. These are things that happen, like our favorite iPhone of the year, which doesn’t have to be the best.

The WWDC is always one of my favorite events of the yearsince it offers us many new features in a very short time. In addition, they are new features that we can later test in the betas of these systems, so they are improvements that reach users almost immediately without having to invest any money.
