Are you of the age group that you have seen the very popular Peppi Longstocking television series, which was also shown on Finnish television at one time?
Pippi Longstocking (Swedish: Pippi Långstrump) is a television series that premiered in 1969.
Pippi Longstocking played in the favorite childhood series of many Inger Nilsson. After the Peppi roles, Nilsson has worked as a secretary in Stockholm and acted in some theater roles.
In the series, Peppi lives alone in a detached house called Huvikumpu. She is the strongest girl in the world. Her full name is Peppilotta Sikuriina Rullakartiina Cat Mint, Ephraimintytär Longstocking.
She has crazy clothes and orange-red hair with two side braids and freckles.
Peppi’s monkey Herra Tossavainen and a horse, for which Peppi uses the affectionate name Lilla Gubben (Little Big Man) in the original version of the book, also live in the fun mound.
Pepi’s father is a sea captain and the king of the Hottentots on a South Sea island. Pepi’s mother is an angel in heaven.
Peppi has a suitcase of gold coins, which the robber duo, Kukkanen and Jymy-Juntunen, are trying to rob. Pepi’s best friends are the sisters Tommi and Annika who live next door.
