And speaking of this last feature, Kia describes the vehicle as “an escape pod for long weekends in nature” and “a Swiss army knife on wheels”.

This is not just for adults tyres off-road, but also because the entire cockpit has been customized to become a sort of mobile living space: The concept is complete with lounge seats, camping chairs, tables, an extendable rooftop tent and more. Furthermore, it is equipped with tow hooks front and rear in case other vehicles get across or upside down.

Self-sufficient

Precisely to reflect the nature of camping with which it was designed, then, the Kia PV5 WKNDR was equipped with solar panels on the roof and a system of micro wind turbines to generate electricity in a self-sufficient manner. In this way, at least on paper, it should be able to guarantee customers and enthusiasts fairly high autonomy when camping “freely”. The prices are not yet clear and whether it will ever arrive in Italy too.
