This is how the naturally aspirated V12 of Pagani’s latest track brutality sounds in action. And that has silencers

Pagani He has made it clear: he will not make electric cars because they are not exciting. He also defends that they are not as ecological as they promise in the current value chain. In his very expensive works of art on wheels, the V-shaped cylinders rule without electrification. The Pagani Utopia Roadster is an example, a hypercar whose bolts already cost as much as two CUPRA Formentors.

But also the Buy Air R EVOits latest evolution of this brutal beast for circuits of no less than 900 HP. We have already been able to see him in action at Misano and listen to his V12 roaring around this circuit. A wonderful melody.

With silencers, but its symphony is enjoyed equally

He video just published by 19Bozzy92’s channel on YouTube portrays the Buy Air R EVO of tests on this Italian track. It’s more than 10 minutes of ode to gasoline, with its atmospheric engine at full power while it devours curves.

We had actually already gotten an idea of its sound when it was presented and Horacio Pagani detailed its benefits to us in this video. But in track action it’s even better. Surely live and direct it is much more thunderous: a video does not usually do justice to reality. But still, it sounds like pure glory.

And it is equipped with silencers to comply with the FIA noise regulations: “as happened to me the first time I recorded the development of the Huayra R, I had to settle for listening to it with the silencers“, laments this car enthusiast. This is what he uses to cover his roar so as not to exceed 110 decibels, which is the limit for circuits.

Although there is no silver lining: he assures that this way “you can better appreciate the mechanical symphony that this racing engine produces, especially the intake sound.”

A very purist beast of circuits. The heart of this Pagani Huayra R EVO is a 6.0-liter V12 that performs 900 CV at 8,750 rpm naturally aspirated. Its maximum torque is 770 Nmbetween 5,800 and 8,200 revolutions. A six-speed sequential transmission sends all this power to the rear axle.

This track hypercar is huge: its “codalunga” design for improved downforce takes it over 5.0 m long and 2.0 m wide. But It weighs less than an Alpine A110: only 1,060 kg. Its power-to-weight ratio is 1.17 kg for each HP.

Paying 2.3 million more for a car that does not yet exist. This is how this investor firm wanted to sneak in the mother of all speculation with a Ferrari F80

That it is convertible also optimizes aerodynamic flow, they promise, and also improves its successor with adjusted suspensions, new Brembo CCM-R carbon-ceramic brakes and Pirelli P Zero slick tires. With these ingredients it promises a top speed of 350 km/h.
