OnePlus is kicking off the new year well, because the manufacturer is launching brand new smartphones today. The OnePlus 13 was unveiled in China a while ago and is now also coming to the Netherlands and Belgium. OnePlus also introduces the 13R, a cheaper flagship. This is the successor to the OnePlus 12R.
Because the OnePlus 13 is already available abroad, we know exactly what specifications the device has. Not everything is known yet about the cheaper 13R, although we do know that it has a slower processor, less good cameras and a slightly smaller screen.
Everything we know about the OnePlus 13(R)
The OnePlus 13 is the successor to the OnePlus 12 and equipped with the fastest hardware of the moment. Under the hood is a fast Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. The battery is quite large at 6000 mAh and charges quickly (100 watts).
In addition, the OnePlus 13 is equipped with a 6.82-inch screen that refreshes 120 times per second. This makes images look extra smooth. The maximum brightness is 4500 nits, making the display easy to read in the sun. The IP69 certification makes the smartphone more resistant to water.
The OnePlus 13 has three cameras on the back for taking photos. They all have a resolution of 50 megapixels and are tuned by Hasseblad. It is not yet known exactly which camera improvements OnePlus will implement.
