Are you tired of ViaPlay or do you want to watch Max Verstappen’s adventures somewhere else? Then it’s time to cancel your Viaplay subscription. In this article we explain how to do this.
Cancel Viaplay in 3 steps
Sports fans can hardly ignore Viaplay. The originally Swedish streaming service has been available in the Netherlands since 2022 and is home to live Formula 1 matches, Bundesliga football and PDC darts, among other things. This sounds like music to many people’s ears.
But, tastes differ. Not everyone is keen on Viaplay’s offering, the live commentary on sports matches or the sometimes poor quality of the streams. Fortunately, canceling your subscription is a piece of cake. Here’s how to cancel Viaplay:
- Go to the Viaplay website;
(and log in with your login details if necessary)
- Press your profile icon at the top right or tap ‘Settings’;
- Select ‘Manage package’ under the heading ‘My account’
- Choose ‘Cancel package’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you do not have a computer at hand, you can also cancel the subscription via the smartphone app. Steps may be named slightly differently. See the ‘redeem’ button on your PC or smartphone, this is the same as ‘cancel’. Please note that you must press this button twice, otherwise nothing has been definitively canceled.
You will then receive confirmation of your cancellation by email. Didn’t you receive a message? Then check the spam folder: there is a good chance that the message can be found there.
You can continue to watch the offer until the end date of your Viaplay subscription, but after that you will lose access. You can of course resubscribe at any time. Please keep in mind that you may have to pay a higher amount per month.
Cancel Viaplay via Ziggo or KPN
Have you purchased the streaming service through a partner, such as TV providers KPN or Ziggo? Because in that case you do not transfer money directly to Viaplay every month, you must cancel the subscription via your TV provider.
At KPN you do this online via the MyKPN website. Log in with your login details and then choose your TV package. Tap the minus sign next to Viaplay and go to your shopping cart. You then agree to the terms and conditions and press ‘Confirm’ to finally send the package out.
Are you a Ziggo customer? Then canceling Viaplay works in much the same way. Go to you My Ziggo accountlog in with your login details if necessary and press ‘Manage streaming services’. Then follow the on-screen instructions to cancel your Viaplay subscription.
