A few hours before the official presentation, photos and technical characteristics of the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 were leaked. The car wears the 5.5-liter twin-turbo flat-plane V8 engine, sourced from the Z06, but in the case of the ZR1 it produces 1,064 horses with 1,123 Nm of torque.
The engine has a rotation limit of 8,000 rpm, combined with an automatic transmission that sends the drive to the rear axle. The car is able to do 0-100 km/h in about 2.5 seconds, with its brakes consisting of carbon-ceramic discs.
Stylistically, it stands out from the aggressive bodykit with new bumpers and a large rear spoiler, while there are also quad exhaust tips, placed in the center of the diffuser.
The price of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 in the US is expected to start at $150,000.
