PS5 Pro is an incredibly expensive device, so you won’t easily unscrew it yourself to take a look inside. That is not necessary, because the repair website iFixit has done and filmed it.
Eric already stated that the device is too expensive for what you get, but now we can actually see what exactly you are buying when it comes to the hardware. In a video, iFixit explains what it all opens and what exactly that means. A striking item is the CMOS battery, a kind of oversized watch battery that is used, among other things, in the Philips Hue Smart Button. What does the battery in the PS5 Pro do? For example, it energizes some components of the processor in terms of date and time.

The battery is difficult to reach in other PS5s, but it is quite easy to expose CMOS in the PS5 Pro. This makes it easier to replace it. Not everything is easy to repair, but it may come as a pleasant surprise to some that this PS5 upgrade is at least as repairable as its predecessors.
PS5 Pro is the more powerful version of the PS5. It displays games with better graphics thanks to a 67 percent larger graphics processor, improved ray tracing and AI to upscale images. You see more detail in your game than on a normal PS5. PS5 Pro is indeed not cheap with a recommended retail price of 799.99 euros, but if you also want a disc drive, it is even an extra 119.99 euros. The normal PlayStation 5 currently costs 449 euros without disc and 539 euros with disc drive.
