Today, Samsung officially confirmed the arrival date of the new Galaxy S25 flagship series, and it was also confirmed that we will see four separate models. We already know almost everything, including the design, about all the phones in this series, i.e. the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Slim. But now the official renders have leaked into the world.
The official look of the Galaxy S25 series
The latest renders, which look like the official promo images of the Galaxy S25 series, have been published by the server Winfuture and we got pictures of the basic model, the S25+ version and the top-of-the-line Ultra. The expected, thin model with the nickname Slim is unfortunately missing, but it can be assumed that it will not be particularly different in terms of design. So what did these official-looking renders tell us?
First of all, the presentation of the camera will change slightly for all models. The lenses are still placed below each other and are inserted separately into the chassis, but now all three are framed by a decorative line, which doesn’t look bad at all. This part is the same for all three models, and the Ultra version also has two smaller lenses on the right (the telephoto lens and the laser focus unit).
Sharp corners disappear in the abyss of history
For the flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra from 2022, Samsung bet on the sharp corners of the design, which it carried over to the next two generations (S23 and S24). It has long been speculated that this feature will disappear with the Galaxy S25 series, and the official renders confirm it. Although the corners are not as rounded as in standard models, they are significantly more rounded than in the predecessor.
In terms of roundness, the Galaxy S25 Ultra resembles its predecessor from 2021, the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Along with these renders, the image of the official covers also leaked, showing the presence of a magnetic ring for attaching a MagSafe-style wireless charger. We are supposed to look forward to support for the new Qi2 standard, which is definitely good news.
The premiere is coming soon
Samsung has confirmed that the new Galaxy S25 series will arrive on January 22, 2025, and it will happen in the American city of San Jose, where the presentation of the previous Galaxy S24 series took place. In addition to the four phones, we will also see news in the field of Galaxy AI, and a new headset that Samsung is said to be working on will probably be shown, even if only in the form of a teaser.
