The brand new Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is available with Bluetooth or with support for an eSIM. The Watch Ultra can handle mobile internet as standard, but what can you do with it?
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7: bluetooth of esim?
If you’re looking for the perfect Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, you don’t just have to choose the right color. You can also choose between variants that connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth, or versions that support an eSIM.
If you choose the latter variant, you will always have mobile internet at your disposal. Taking your phone with you is no longer necessary, because you can still call, use the internet or send a WhatsApp message via the smartwatch itself.
A normal SIM card is made of plastic and you have to physically put it in your phone or smart watch, but an eSIM is an electronic SIM card. It’s a matter of choosing the right settings and within seconds you’re already using it.
Another advantage is that it can’t break and you can’t lose it. Finally, it’s handy when you go abroad, because you can install an esim before your trip.
Monthly costs for eSIM
You get what you pay for and an eSIM is not free in the Netherlands. You can go to various providers – including KPN, Odido and Vodafone – and you pay a monthly fee of a few euros. However, you must already have a current mobile subscription for your smartphone.
Our reviews of the new watches will be published soon, so keep an eye on the website. Want to know more now? Then of course check out our extensive announcement article in which you will find all the information neatly together.
