Detailed rumors about the prices and expected novelties of the new series have come to light.
Although the industry and fans are already excited (except for those who are thinking about switching when they see the Fold6), we have to wait at least another month for the release of the iPhone 16s. It is certain that the goods will not be the most tempting, but their equipment and reliability will always keep them on the podium.
In recent days, some credible rumors have come to light regarding the two flagship devices of the new series. It may come as news to few that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to be among the most expensive devices in 2024, and after last year’s decrease, prices are now expected to rise again. While in 2023 the iPhone 15 Pro with 128 GB standard equipment was HUF 499,990, according to rumors, this year’s version will indeed be more than that, but we also get more for our money. If everything is true, the 16 Pro will come with a slightly larger display, as well as new lenses for the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. Mostly, the related rumors may indicate that the new high-end devices may be more expensive than the members of the series released last September.
Those familiar with the dynamics of the brand refer to the fact that when selling last year’s series, the customers were not charged the extra costs of the development, but this practice cannot be sustained indefinitely either. Most industry experts expect a price increase of roughly 10 percent, and if this applies, the iPhone 16 Pro can be expected to start at around HUF 549,990 at domestic retailers.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max arrived in stores last year at a price of HUF 599,990, and although a similar increase would be justified due to the rising costs, this is not so clear anymore. According to leaked information, the new flagship device will also get a giant 6.9-inch display, an A18 Pro chipset, and an updated camera system with a super telephoto lens.
Some rumors also suggest that there will be a version called iPhone Ultra, which on the one hand could be a completely new concept, but it is also possible that the Pro Max will get a new name as a simple marketing move. There are those who believe that a 10 percent increase is likely in this case, but there are also voices that say that Apple does not want to raise the ceiling higher and will offer the new Pro Max at last year’s price. This is expected to be revealed in September.
