Next month, Asus will release its next top phone: the Zenfone 12 Ultra. Here you can read when it will appear.
Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra unveiling on February 6
It won’t be long until Asus comes up with its next flagship: the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra unveiling will take place on February 6 at 7:30 am Dutch time. The manufacturer announced this in a post on X, together with a preview of one of the latest features of the next Zenfone.
Asus seems to focus on smartphone photography and videos with the 12 Ultra. The image shows a dog and its owner filmed in 4K resolution with the focus locked. It is not yet clear whether this should represent a kind of cinematic mode, as we know from iPhones. We do know that there will be a lot of artificial intelligence involved, as mentioned in the caption.
Vermomde ROG Phone 9 Pro
The Zenfone line is not the only smartphone series that Asus releases annually. Last November, the manufacturer launched the ROG Phone 9 Pro. These gaming phones have a striking design with cool extras, such as a light screen on the back, shoulder buttons on the side and extra accessories to cool the phone while gaming.
Why the gaming phone is important for the upcoming Zenfone? Last year, Asus used the ROG Phone 8 Pro as the basis for the Zenfone 11 Ultra. The design, screen and specifications were very similar. We expect the manufacturer to use the same tactic this year and use the ROG Phone 9 Pro as the basis for the Zenfone 12 Ultra.
In that case, we expect a smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip on board: the fastest of the moment. The screen has an AMOLED panel with a size of 6.78 inches. Inside it runs 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage space. The battery will have a large size of 5800 mAh, which was 5500 mAh on the previous model.
The Zenfone 12 Ultra probably looks less striking than its gamer brother, but it does bring top specifications. We will wait for the launch and let you know what the smartphone has to offer at that time.
Are you looking forward to the Zenfone 12 Ultra or were you more of a fan of the smaller Zenfone 10? Let us know in the comments below.
