This is why Apple is waiting with the release of the iPad 11 –

The long-awaited update did not arrive this year either, but the company has a good reason for this.

We recently reported on Apple’s latest tablet, the iPad Mini 7, which the manufacturer introduced without much fanfare. The seventh-generation device underwent a significant facelift, while the basic iPad update was missed this year as well, despite the fact that the last model was released more than two years ago.

Apple’s 10th generation iPad debuted in October 2022, and it received the A14 chip, which was already two years old at the time. This actually explains why Apple decided to wait at least another year with the new tablet.

If the company had followed the previous model, the iPad 11 would have received the A16 chip. At the moment, this would mean that the new tablet would not be compatible with Apple Intelligence, on which the people from Cupertino have practically built their entire marketing in recent months. If Apple wants to keep the current $349 price tag (or at least stay close to it), it wouldn’t be a bad idea to equip the next iPad with a newer chip than the A16.

Based on these, the question may legitimately arise as to when and with what specifications the 11th generation iPad may arrive. Although industry insiders are divided, most experts are predicting an update in the fall of 2025.

This would be a logical decision on the part of the people of Cupertino, since the iPhone 17 would already be on sale by then, and this would free up capacity for one of Apple’s most popular products. And the new iPad would probably use the A18 chip of the iPhone 16.
