The legendary model Lancia Delta Integrale, the championship rally car made famous by Carlos Sainz in the early nineties, is currently for sale, and the owner is looking for a real fortune for it.
More than 30 years have passed since Carlos Sainz Senior dominated the rally championship, and at the same time, the story of the legendary Lancia Delta Integrale has been rekindled, which is still a real treasure for every fanatic.
The car that belonged to the official Lancia team was equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produced more than 300 hp, had a six-speed Lancia Abarth R90 transmission and of course, used four-wheel drive.
The story of this model was updated again after the owner restored it and prepared it for sale. The owner restored it in France in 2019, then waited five years and decided to sell it.
Through the respected British car dealer Duncan Hamilton Rofgo, who sells the most sought-after rally cars, the owner is asking for 511,000 euros. That’s a lot of money, although it’s never too much for someone who knows the value of this model, he says Klix.ba.
An ordinary Lancia Delta Integrale today sells for more than 100,000 euros, and it dates back to the period from 1987 to 1992. However, since this model was driven by two-time champion Carlos Sainz, its price is understandable.
Lancia Delta HF Integrale won four titles in the WRC during the golden era when rivals were true “classics” such as Ford Sierra, Toyota Celica, Subaru Impreza… Lancia had an even greater dominance in constructors’ competition, winning six consecutive titles until 1992.
