This Lego Star Wars set revives dark theories

Lego markets a Lego Star Wars set allowing you to build a dark version of the Millennium Falcon. The ship comes with figurines linked to theories.

On the Disney+ platform, you can find a ton of Star Wars content. There is something for all tastes and all audiences. For example, the animated series Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is designed for the youngest. She uses the opportunity offered by Lego bricks to deconstruct/reconstruct the universe as she wishes. We are talking about a “ twisted version where the good guys are the bad guys, and the bad guys are the good guys ».

To support the broadcast of this program, Disney and Lego have planned merchandising. The two companies, whose marriage has lasted for years and years, allow fans to assemble a dark version of the Millennium Falconiconic ship, here in an unrecognizable adaptation. The gray shell gives way to black with touches of red. As if the Empire had seized the Millennium Falcon and dressed it up in its own way, in tuning mode. The ship itself is not the most interesting part. But there are two figurines included that stand out from the rest.

Dark Rey and Dark Jar Jar: this Lego Star Wars fuels theories

The ship will come as no surprise to Lego Star Wars fans. It is yet another variation of the Millennium Falcon, which has already had several versions in 25 years of collaboration. A quick look at the Bricklink database will give you an idea of how many times this good old Han Solo cabin has been reproduced with bricks. This dark Millennium Falcon is distinguished by its distinctive livery and interior design. The roof opening is always star-shaped, with several small, slightly fragile covers (unlike the more solid lower structure). Be careful, you can quickly lose parts on the road when handling it, while children will love the two integrated missile launchers.

This set will especially catch the eye of collectors for the figurines it brings together. The first will give nightmares to many fans: it bears the image of Dark Jar Jar. This character, who does not exist in the canonical films or series, is linked to a dark, well-documented theory. It consists of asserting that the head-to-head Jar Jar of The Phantom Menace is in reality a very powerful Sith lord, who would then hide his game well. He would thus be too clumsy and stupid not to be linked to a terrible secret – his status as an unbearable character made the actor suffer (who was entitled to a nice revenge afterwards). This theory waited Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy to be materialized on the screen.

The other interesting figurine is Dark Rey, the Sith version of Rey, the heroine of the third trilogy linked to the Skywalker family. She doesn’t come out of nowhere either: Dark Rey appears in a vision in episode 9 (L’Ascension de Skywalker). She wears a black hood and sports a strange saber, with two blades in parallel. These two elements are obviously reproduced in Lego, with a Rey who has a “scary” expression. Here again, there is an emerging theory: for a long time, it was believed that Rey could switch to the dark side of the Force. After all, she is Palpatine’s granddaughter. She will ultimately remain on the path of Light and will even be entitled to her own film – always with actress Daisy Ridley.

The box also contains a white version of Darth Vader, then depicted as a Jedi (the figurine is sublime), as well as Luke Skywalker dressed in beach attire. The droid C-3PO is redesigned as a bounty hunter with red eyes and a black arm. We are far from the protocol robot who is afraid of his shadow. Really, this Millennium Falcon product will especially please for its exclusive casting.
