In the field of connected watches, a few brands are trying to pull the plug on themselves: Garmin, of course, but also Coros, Suunto and Polar, which we are talking about here, with the Vantage V3 more accessible with this 26% reduction.
Available since mid-October 2023, the Polar Vantage V3 is a multisport connected watch that places particular emphasis on health. It is therefore equipped with sensors which make it possible to measure cardiovascular activity, the autonomic nervous system and body temperature. On the market, it is the front competitor of the Garmin Forerunner 965, with a more affordable base price. Even more when it drops to less than 445 euros.
The strong points of the Polar Vantage V3
- The quality of its 1.39″ Amoled screen at 454 × 454 pixels
- The many training modes for sport
- A real autonomy of one week, very appreciable
Launched at 599.90 euros upon its release in October 2023, the Polar Vantage V3 is currently available at 442.95 euros thanks to a promotion at Amazon.

The Finnish brand offers a very nice watch
With its Vantage V3, Polar unveils a quality watch, with a sober design despite its sporty use. Logical successor to the Polar V2, this model brings quite a few changes, but also keeps a good base, like this round case with five textured buttons. It is rather large and measures 47 × 50.8 × 14.5 mm and weighs 57 g, bracelet included. The case and protective bezel are made of aluminum and the glass is curved Gorilla Glass 3.
On this model, Polar swaps the old transflective MIP LCD screens for Amoled, just like on the Ignite 3 model. The screen is round, 1.39″ in diameter with a definition of 454 × 454 pixels for a density of 326 pixels, the same as the Apple Watch Series 9. This shows that it is a quality product.
An Elixir, not necessarily rejuvenating
Behind the watch is a set of four sensors united under the name Elixir. Under this name hides a brand new heart rate sensor from the brand, a pulse oximeter (the first from Polar), an electrocardiogram and a skin temperature sensor. Classic functions elsewhere, new features at Polar.
All the measurements taken by the sensors can be found in the Polar Flow app to download to your smartphone, whether Android or iOS. And this is perhaps where the weak point of this watch lies: navigation in its menus and in its app turns out to be particularly difficult. So nothing insurmountable, rest assured, but it lacks a little ergonomics. Too bad, because with a one-week battery life and excellent GPS tracking, it has serious advantages to put forward and it would be a shame to miss it. Especially since an ergonomic problem can be resolved with updates.
