Every year the SEMA Show (USA) brings us very interesting new cars, the most extravagant preparations and curious prototypes loaded with technology. In this year’s edition, held in Las Vegas, one of those that is attracting the most attention is This Toyota Tundra what incorporates up to five 55” screens.
This unique vehicle, the result of the collaboration between Toyota and the National Football League (NFL), is a prototype manufactured just for the event, where it is exhibited alongside other very tempting concepts from the Japanese brand, such as el ‘Land Cruiser ROX’.
To watch football or whatever you want anywhere in the world and from any angle
The Toyota “Ultimate Tailgate Tundra” is not only a very attractive and futuristic pick-up, but it is unlike anything on display at the show in terms of engineering: with the push of a button, a custom-made structure It is raised from the box by four electric motors and displays five large 55” weather-resistant TV screens.
These screens are perfectly integrated and positioned to offer a clear view of the action from any angle. Likewise, in order to avoid glare from the sun and unwanted glare on the screens and be able to enjoy a good game or a movie without interruptions, a large awning provides up to 17 m² of shade.
And so that quality sound accompanies the images, this Tundra has a custom audio system signed by ‘JBL Club Marine Series’ with four speakers and two subwoofers.
Of course, this unique Toyota Tundra equips a satellite Wi-Fi system to connect and transmit any television channel or access different content platforms.
A generator supplies the energy to power this entire display and make this particular “mobile entertainment vehicle” self-sufficient. “This construction is more of an audiovisual experience than the typical assembly of a tailgate” says Tyler Litchenberger, Toyota Director of Marketing and Communications.
“We wanted to create something that would not only turn heads, but also invite people to view the Toyota Tundra as the ultimate sports and adventure machine.” Thus, this very particular Tundra shows “just one of the many lifestyle applications” offered by the already iconic pick-up in the US. Expectedly, Toyota, which is an official partner of the NFL, will take it to some stadiums so that all fans can see it up close.
