Over the past few years, thanks to the active participation of residents and the co-financing program of the Daugavpils municipality, landscaping work has been carried out in the courtyards of apartment buildings and in the surrounding areas, the City Duma reports.
Many courtyards have become more beautiful, more comfortable and safer, creating an environment in which everyone enjoys living and relaxing.
Over the course of four years, 29 sections of sidewalks were repaired, 35 parking lots were created, 3 sheds for waste containers were installed, 8 playgrounds were installed, and 33 plots of land were landscaped with benches, lawns and lighting.
In 2024, the Daugavpils municipality also provided financial support for improving the energy efficiency of apartment buildings, paying 440,445.31 euros as co-financing for completed work in 59 residential buildings.
Thus, in this year’s budget, 936,629.64 euros were allocated for the improvement of the areas adjacent to the houses and the renovation of the houses themselves.
